Getting Started with Custom Maps

Create a new map by clicking on the "New Map" button in the top right corner of your Google My Maps dashboard. Alternatively, you can access it from the menu by selecting "Maps" > "Create New Map". This will open a blank map with a default label and attribution.

Next, select the type of map you want to create. For custom maps, choose "Custom Map" or "Map". You can also add layers, such as markers, polylines, and overlays, to create more complex visualizations.

To customize your map further, click on the "Edit" button in the top right corner. This will allow you to change the map's appearance, add new features, and make it fully unique.
