To start using Google My Maps, first go to the Google My Maps website and select the map you want to edit from the dropdown menu at the top right corner of the page. Then, click on the three dots next to the map title and choose "Get Link". This will generate a unique link that allows others to view your map.

Once you have generated the link, copy and paste it into an email or document. Others can then access your map by clicking on the link and searching for your Google My Maps ID. You can also embed maps directly into web pages using the Google My Maps iframe code.

Customizing Your Map

You can customize your map by adding overlays, labels, and shapes to create a more personalized visual representation of data. To add an overlay, click on the "Add Overlay" button in the top right corner of the map, select the type of overlay you want to add (e.g. text, image, shape), and enter any additional information.

You can also add labels by clicking on the "Add Label" button and selecting the type of label you want to add (e.g. name, date, description). Labels can be added at specific locations on your map or for entire regions.

Sharing Your Map

Your Google My Maps map is accessible by anyone with a Google account. You can share your map with others by sending them the link you generated earlier or embedding it directly into emails and documents.

You can also use the "Share" button in the top right corner of the map to share your map on social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
