Organization

TED is a non-profit organization founded in 1984 by Richard Fuld, Stephen Tawa, Henry Kissinger, and John Doerr. It was originally called "The Talks," but was later renamed to TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design). The organization's mission is to "Create a more peaceful and prosperous world through ideas" and to do so through its talks, lectures, and events.
