The study analyzed data from over 500 best-selling authors across various genres, including fiction and non-fiction books. They found that approximately 75% of these authors reported working with executive CEOs or COOs (Chief Operating Officers) during their careers.

However, when asked about their relationship with the CEOs, many authors expressed a sense of detachment and skepticism, stating that they often feel like outsiders in the corporate world. This perception is not surprising given that authors are typically more focused on writing than managing companies.

"I'm not sure I would trust an executive CEO to run my business," said one bestselling author who wishes to remain anonymous. "Their focus on efficiency and profit over creativity and storytelling makes me uncomfortable."
