What is an Auto Extended Warranty?

An auto extended warranty, also known as a gap policy or a new vehicle warranty, is a voluntary agreement between you and your used car manufacturer to extend the original manufacturer's (MAG) standard guarantee period beyond 3 years or 36,000 miles. This can provide additional peace of mind and financial protection for your vehicle.

Pros and Cons of Buying an Auto Extended Warranty:

**Pros:** - Additional coverage beyond the MAG's standard guarantee period - Financial protection for your vehicle in case of unexpected repairs or damage - Peace of mind knowing you're covered, even if the manufacturer declines to cover a claim **Cons:** - Higher cost compared to the initial purchase price of the vehicle - May void any existing manufacturer's warranty (if purchased) - Expiration date may not align with your Volkswagen's original service schedule
