The stock prices and quotes in this section are based on historical data from the Banner Co-operative Elevator Association website.
- Pennant Stocks: Pennant stocks have been used as a benchmark for the market since 1875, with the exception of World War I. The first pennant stock was the American Tobacco Company, which began trading in 1854.
- Warrant Stocks: Warrant stocks were introduced by the British in 1866, and have been traded on the London Stock Exchange ever since. They provide a way for companies to raise capital without issuing shares.
