Fix-it right: Plumbing remains open due to ongoing Covid-19 cases

As Victoria continues to experience another wave of Covid-19 cases, many residents are left wondering what this means for their homes and buildings. One aspect that's often overlooked is the impact on plumbing services.

According to experts, the ongoing surge in Covid-19 cases has led to a significant increase in plumbing service outages. This is because many plumbers are hesitant to work on infected properties or take other unnecessary risks.

"While it's understandable that people want to avoid exposure to the virus, some plumbers may feel compelled to take extra precautions or refuse to work on certain clients," said one expert. "This can lead to plumbing service outages and disrupt essential services like waste management and water supply."

What does this mean for you?

"For homeowners, it means that they may need to rely on alternative sources of clean water or engage the services of a temporary plumber to get their systems up and running," said another expert. "It's essential to have a plan in place in case of an unexpected plumbing service outage."

Finding solutions in the meantime

"In the meantime, homeowners can take steps to mitigate the impact of Covid-19 on their plumbing systems," said the expert. "This includes regular maintenance, using anti-bacterial products, and avoiding the use of scented soaps or detergents that can damage pipes."

"By taking these precautions, homeowners can help minimize the risk of a plumbing service outage and ensure that their essential services remain uninterrupted," said another expert.
