As the number of COVID-19 cases in Victoria continues to rise, the plumbing industry is facing a new challenge. With increased demand for services and staff on high alert, plumbing companies are struggling to keep up with the workload.
"We're working as hard as we can to meet the demand, but it's taking longer than expected," said Sarah Jenkins, owner of Fix-it Right Plumbing in Melbourne. "We've had to implement new protocols and procedures to ensure that our staff are safe and well-equipped to handle the increased volume of calls."
"While we're doing everything we can to support the community, it's clear that this is a difficult time for our business," said Jenkins. "As with any industry, we're working closely with government agencies and health organizations to ensure that we're meeting all necessary requirements."
"Another concern is the strain on our staff's mental and physical health," said Sarah Jenkins. "We've seen a significant increase in anxiety and stress among our staff, which can affect their ability to perform their jobs safely and effectively."
"As a result, we're investing in additional training and support for our staff, including mindfulness programs and mental health resources," said Jenkins. "We want to ensure that they have the tools they need to cope with the demands of working during this time."
