What is the Worldloppet?

The Worldloppet, also known as the World Championships in Cycling, is an annual professional road cycling competition that takes place over a period of 7 days. The event was founded in 2004 and has since become one of the most prestigious and popular championships in the world.

History of the Event

The Worldloppet is organized by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), the international governing body for cycling. The first edition was held in 2004 in Switzerland, with a total of 28 teams participating from over 20 countries.

Rules and Format

The Worldloppet is divided into seven stages, each lasting between 30-40 kilometers. Riders are ranked according to their overall performance during the week, with the top three riders advancing to the final stage.
