Getting Started with My Maps on Google Maps

Create your custom map by going to the My Maps feature in Google Maps. To access this feature, click on the menu button ( three horizontal lines) and select "My Maps." Alternatively, go to the top left corner of any Google Maps page and click on the menu dropdown arrow.

Once you have opened your custom map, enter a name for it in the title box. This will be used as the title of your map. Select a location by typing or clicking into the address bar, and then click the "Add" button to add it to your map. You can also upload images to make your map more visually appealing.

Customizing Your Map

You can further customize your map by adding layers, overlays, and other features using the icons and buttons at the bottom of your map. To add a layer, click on it in the "Layers" section and select "Add to Map." You can also use the "Add marker," "Add icon," and "Add button" options to customize your markers and other elements.

Sharing Your Map

My Maps allows you to share your custom map with others by sending it via email. To do this, click on the three horizontal lines in the top left corner of the map and select "Share." Enter a recipient's email address, add a subject and message, and then click the "Send" button.
