The government of Maldives is a parliamentary democracy with a presidential system, where the President serves as both the head of state and head of government. The current President of Maldives is Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.

The Ministry of Defense is responsible for the country's defense and security matters, while the Ministry of Foreign Affairs handles diplomatic relations with other countries. The Ministry of Health and National Hospital are responsible for public health and medical services.
