Tokaido Karate is a style of karate that originated in Japan in the early 20th century. The name "Tokaido" refers to the region of Honshu, the largest island in Japan.

Historically, the uniforms worn by Tokaido Karate practitioners were influenced by traditional Japanese clothing and martial arts attire from various styles, including Goju-ryu and Shotokan. The specific style of uniform used today is a blend of these influences.

Tokaido Karate uniforms are not only aesthetically pleasing but also hold significant cultural and historical importance. They represent the values of discipline, respect, and tradition that underpin the art form.
