What is a judo gi?
A judo gi, also known as a judogi, is the traditional uniform worn by judokas (judo practitioners) during competitions and training sessions.
Cleaning your judo gi
To clean your judo gi, wash it in cold water with a mild detergent. Do not use bleach or harsh chemicals as they can damage the fabric.
- Machine dry on low heat to prevent shrinkage and fading.
- Reshape the gi while it's still slightly damp to maintain its original shape.
Storage and maintenance
Store your judo gi in a cool, dry place. Avoid folding or creasing the gi as this can cause damage to the fabric.
- Hang the gi on a sturdy hanger or fold it neatly to prevent wrinkles and creases.
- Use a breathable storage bag or container to protect the gi from dust and moisture.
