How To Wash Your Judo Gi

Step 1: Remove any loose debris or dirt from the gi using a soft-bristled brush or a clean cloth.

Step 2: Fill a large sink or a basin with cold water and add a small amount of mild detergent. Make sure the gi is fully submerged in the water to prevent it from becoming tangled or twisted.

Step 3: Gently agitate the gi using your hands to work out any stubborn stains or dirt. Be careful not to wring or twist the gi, as this can cause damage or tears.

Step 4: Rinse the gi thoroughly with cold water to remove all soap residue and detergent. Repeat the rinsing process until the water runs clear.

Step 5: Hang the gi to air dry. Do not hang it on a clothesline or over a drying rack, as this can cause stretching or shrinkage.

Step 6: Allow several hours or overnight for the gi to dry completely before wearing or storing it.
