The Bladen Community College Welding Technology program is an intensive, two-year program that combines classroom instruction with hands-on training in the welding process. Students learn various welding techniques, including shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), and gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW).
Upon completion of the program, students are qualified to take the AWS D1.1 certification exam for welding and are eligible to work in a variety of industries, including construction, manufacturing, and oil and gas.
