A new scholarship is available for social work students to pursue their education, with applications still open for the 2023 academic year.
The Denver Divorce Mediation Service (DDMS) Social Work Scholarship is a merit-based award designed to support students who demonstrate academic excellence and potential in the field of social work. The scholarship is open to undergraduate or graduate students enrolled in a university program that offers a degree in social work or a related field.
The deadline for applying was March 15, 2023, but due to its popularity, DDMS has extended the application period until April 1, 2023, giving students more time to submit their applications. Applicants must submit an essay outlining their academic and professional goals, as well as a personal statement discussing why they believe they are suitable for this award.
The selection process will include a review committee that evaluates applicants based on their academic achievements, extracurricular activities, and community involvement. The selected candidates will receive a one-time stipend of $5,000 to support their education and future career goals.

The deadline for renewal is June 30, 2023, so students who were previously awarded the scholarship must reapply to continue receiving financial support.
