Denver Divorce Mediation Service's 2023 Social Work Scholarship
The Denver Divorce Mediation Service is still accepting applicants for its 2023 Social Work Scholarship, offering a valuable opportunity for aspiring social workers to gain experience and build their skills in the field of family law.
Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant must be a current or former student enrolled in an accredited master's program at an American Bar Association (ABA)-accredited law school.
Applicants must also have completed the first year of their program by August 1, 2023.
- The applicant must have been accepted to a full-time ABA-accredited law school and have applied to one ABA-accredited law school. Applicants may only be accepted for their chosen academic program at this time; they cannot apply for another program that has not yet started.
Application Requirements
- The applicant must submit the following materials:
- A completed application form, available on the Denver Divorce Mediation Service website.
- A letter of recommendation from a professor or advisor at an ABA-accredited law school. This may be submitted online through the program's website. Applicants must also provide 10 professional references; they can contact their references directly to request that they submit their names, addresses, and phone numbers in writing.
- A copy of the applicant's transcripts for the first year of their master's program.
Award Selection
The Denver Divorce Mediation Service will select a limited number of recipients based on academic performance, professional commitment to the field of family law, and relevance to the program. Recipients will be notified by email in December 2023.
