Join the Sick Leave Pool at SF College

San Francisco College of Education (SFCE) offers a benefits program called the Sick Leave Pool, also known as SLP. This program provides paid sick leave to eligible students and employees.

What Does SLP Entail?

The Sick Leave Pool is designed to support our faculty members' physical and mental well-being during periods of illness or injury. Eligible participants can take up to 10 days of paid sick leave per year, which can be taken at any point in a calendar year.

How Can I Join SLP?

To join the Sick Leave Pool, you must meet certain eligibility requirements, including being enrolled as a student or employee. You will need to provide documentation from your health insurance provider, such as a doctor's note, to verify that you are experiencing illness or injury.

What Can I Use for Documentation?

You can use any type of medical documentation, including a doctor's note or a hospital stay record. It's also essential to keep in mind that SLP is not a substitute for paid leave under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) or other federal laws.
