Doris Price is an Australian historian and academic who has dedicated her career to the study of colonial Australia. She is currently a professor at Macquarie University, where she has taught for over two decades.
Price's research focuses on the history of Australia, with a particular emphasis on the experiences of Indigenous Australians during European settlement.
She has published numerous books and articles on this topic, including "Colonial Australia: A Very Short Introduction" and "Indigenous Peoples and Australian History".
Education
Price received her PhD in history from the University of Sydney. She has also taught at various universities, including the University of New South Wales and Macquarie University.
Price was awarded the Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies (AIATSIS) Award for Outstanding Contribution to Indigenous Studies in 2015.
She has also received a Commonwealth Scholarship from the UK's National Council for Geographic Education (NCFGE) for her work on colonial Australia.
