I've always been active and physically fit, but I didn't really focus on fitness until I turned 40.

"I started taking more notice of my body and how it was affecting my daily life," he says. "I felt sluggish, tired, and just plain unproductive."

My wife suggested that I try weightlifting to improve my overall health and energy levels. At first, I thought 'weightlifting' meant going to the gym and lifting heavy weights, but it turned out to be much more than that.

"It's not just about lifting weights," Dennis explains. "It's about understanding how your body responds to exercise and making adjustments accordingly. It's been a game-changer for me."

"I've learned that fitness is not just about physical health, but also mental well-being," Dennis says. "For me, it's about finding activities that bring joy and a sense of purpose."

"One thing I've discovered is the importance of variety in your workout routine. Don't get stuck in a rut – mix it up with different exercises, sports, or hobbies to keep things interesting," he advises.

"Also, don't underestimate the power of self-care and recovery. Taking care of your physical body requires attention to nutrition, rest, and relaxation," Dennis adds.
