What is a Network Leak?
a Network Leak occurs when data or traffic is intentionally or unintentionally sent outside of a secure network boundary, often resulting in unauthorized access to sensitive information.
Identifying leaks can be challenging, but there are several signs and indicators you should look out for. Some common examples include:
- Unexplained high bandwidth usage or slow speeds
- Databases or data files being accessed remotely by unknown users
- Unusual network activity, such as frequent connections to unknown servers
