Get started with creating custom maps using your existing data and unlock new levels of functionality.
Google My Maps is a powerful tool for creating custom maps that can be shared with others. It allows you to add markers, polygons, and other visual elements to your map.
To create a custom map on Google My Maps, start by searching for the location you want to map using the search bar at the top of the screen. Once you've found the location, click on it to open its details page.
Now that you have your location set up, you can start adding existing data to create a custom map. You can add markers using the marker tool or polygons using the polygon tool.
Markers are used to highlight specific locations on your map. To add a marker, click and hold on an empty area of the map until you see a small icon with a red pin.
You can customize the appearance of your markers by adjusting their color, size, and shape. You can also set a custom title for each marker using the "Title" field.
Polygons are used to draw boundaries around specific areas on your map. To create a polygon, click and hold on an empty area of the map until you see a small icon with two sides.
You can adjust the size and position of your polygons by dragging them around the map. You can also set a custom label for each polygon using the "Label" field.
You can customize the layout of your map by adjusting its width and height. You can also set a custom zoom level to view more or less detail on your map.
You can view multiple maps on the same screen by clicking on the "More" button in the top right corner of the screen.
