Create Custom Maps
To get started with Google My Maps, simply click on the "My Maps" button in your Google account dashboard. Then, click on the "+" icon and choose "Create a new map". You can then select from various templates or start from scratch using the editor's drag-and-drop interface.
Customize Your Map
In order to display local information effectively, you'll need to customize your map with relevant data. This includes adding markers, shapes, and labels that provide context about the location. You can also use Google My Maps' built-in features such as pop-up windows and infowindows to showcase additional information.
Share Your Map
Once you've created your custom map, you can share it with others through various channels. This includes exporting the map as a file (e.g., KMZ or PNG) and sharing it via email or social media. Alternatively, you can embed the map directly into websites or blogs using Google My Maps' iframe feature.
