Creating a Custom Map for Emergency Plumbing Services in Melbourne using Google My Maps

Create an account on Google My Maps if you haven't already. Once logged in, click on the "Add a map" button in the top right corner and select "Create a new map". Choose "Street View" as the map type and then create your custom map by clicking on the "+" icon.

To add emergency plumbing services to your custom map, you need to have access to the Google My Maps API. You can enable it for free in the Google Cloud Console or sign up for a paid account if needed.

Once you have enabled the API, create a new service using the Google My Maps REST API. In this example, we will use the "Place" resource type to add your plumbing services. You can find more information on how to do this in the official documentation of the Google Cloud Console or by searching for "Google My Maps REST API".

Next, you need to add a marker to your custom map to indicate the location of each plumbing service. To do this, click on the "+" icon next to your map and then select "Marker" as the shape type.

Now that you have added the markers, you can customize their appearance by using various options available in the Google My Maps editor. For example, you can change the marker color, size, and position or add a custom image.

Share your custom map with other stakeholders such as emergency services personnel, engineers, or contractors. You can share it via a link or embed it on their devices using the "Embed a map" feature in Google My Maps.
